The First 100

Nowadays, most of us make our movie choices based on the trailers that get released.  Books are the original movies.  They were alive and kicking before the first projector was ever on.

For me, the first 100 pages of a book are like the movie trailer.  By then, I know whether or not I’m into the book.  I think book reviews are great, but they only give you my end result.  What if the first 100 pages were awesome, but the rest of the “movie” didn’t cut it?  What if it’s the other way around?

This idea is new to me – suggested by the smart and cool husband!  I’m interested in seeing how my trailers compare to the overall review.  Hope you are down for the ride too.
