The Phoenix’s Perspective
This 20 page e-book may not be worth the $1.99.
I am a big fan of Rick Riordan. I have enjoyed both the Percy Jackson and the Carter Kane series and was excited at what a meeting of the two could bring forth. The idea of a cross between the Greek and Egyptian gods opened up so many crazy possibilities.
I was let down. To be honest, I was annoyed I wasted the 10 minutes it takes to get through the story. If Riordan is ever going to actually have the two worlds meet, I hope he would start the meeting in a better way because this introduction to a cross-over felt more like a bad commercial than anything else.
Would I add it to the library?
Eh – Due to the fact that it is an e-book, I can archive it and forget it. If it was a real book, I might have given it away.
